Our Purpose
Exalt the Savior

The church exists to glorify God in worship. Educating, equipping and encouraging our church in corporate and private worshipis a priority of our ministry. Worship is expressed through the Bible as adoration, confession, thanksgiving, supplication, praise, exaltation, giving, serving and loving. Other words synonymous with exalt are worship, magnify, and glorify.

"O magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt his name togehter." Psalms 34:3
"Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only." Mark 4:10
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart..." Mark 12:30

Enrich the Saints

The church exists to glorify God through spiritual maturity. Our responsibility before God is to educate and edify God's people to become more like Jesus in their thoughts, feelings, and actions. This is a continual process of education that starts at conversion and concludes when God calls us home. We are to assist members by offering corporate teaching of the Word of God in the life of the church and encouraging private devotions and education in the life of the Christian.

"Do not let this book of the Law depart from your mouth, but meditate on it
day and night so that you may be careful to do everything written in it." Joshua 1:8
"Teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you." Matthew 28:20
"Love the Lord with all your mind." Mark 12:30

Equip the Saints

The church exists to glorify God in service towards others. Training our members to minister to others is a divine imperative. Ministry is demonstrating God's love to others by meeting their needs and healing their hurts in the name of Jesus. We are to minister to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those God brings into our lives through aquaintance and burden. Equipping our church to discover, develop, and deploy the spiritual gifts must be a priority. To minister and serve others is to live out our profession of faith in Jesus Christ.

"Equip the saints for the work of ministry." Ephesians 4:12
"Present your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God
which is your spiritual act of worship." Romans 12:1
"Love your neighbor as yourself." Mark 12:30

Encourage the Saints

The church exists to glorify God through Christian fellowship. We are to assist our members in belonging not just in believing. Ours is a responsibility before God to create an environment of genuine concern, Christ-like compassion and unconditional care and love. To provide an atmosphere that is non-threatening, welcoming and warm. To enable the encouragement and accountability of our family of faith.

"But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another,
and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us form all sin." 1 John 1:7
"You are members of God's very own family...
and you belong in God's household with every other Christian." Ephesians 2:19 (LB)
"Love your neighbor as yourself." Mark 12:31

Evangelize the World

The church exists to glorify God through the sharing of His gospel in our community and around the world. Evangelism is not fully completed until the evangelized have become the evangelists. It is the responsibility of every Christian to share the Good News wherever we go. Ours is the blessed joy and honored privilege to communicate to others Christ's virgin birth, His vicarious death and His victorious resurrection. We share the miraculous story of Jesus' cradle, cross and coming through our deeds of love, personal testimony and acts of kindness. To share God's love to others is a divine mandate. Evangelism is not optional for the church... it is imperative!

"Therefore, Go into all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit." Matthew 28:19
"God added daily to their number those who were being saved." Acts 2:42
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart... and your neighbor as yourself." Mark 12:30-31
