– What are some highs and lows from this past week? What is something God has shown or taught you?

Read 1 Thess 2:1-8 and Discuss the Following Questions:
1. What is the connection between shameful treatment in Philippi (Acts 16) and boldness in Thess? Where did this kind of boldness come from?
2. Describe the different qualities Paul’s life and ministry had that commend it. Why do you think these are important?
3. Describe the way Paul related to and felt about the Thess. Describe the way this relationship connected to evangelism and discipleship in Thess.
4. What are some ways the fear of man and the approval of man affects our words and actions? How can we tell if our hearts are living for man’s or God’s approval?
a. Can our words/actions be right and our heart be wrong? Defend and Give Examples.
5. What are some ways Christians tailor their message to fit w/ popular opinions? What areas/environments are you tempted to do that?
6. What role should relationships play in evangelism and discipleship? What barriers do you see to this type of ministry?
